Important things to note

  • For Aveo to consider the enquiry or appointment as a referral, you must initiate the introduction. If you happen to drop a friend’s name in the conversation with the Aveo sales team, be sure to follow it up with them and make a proper introduction.
  • Whoever you refer must be a friend or family member.
  • If your friend or family member responds to any form of Aveo advertising, it will not be considered a referral. Make sure you encourage them to speak to you first, so you can make the referral and you can both be rewarded once they have purchased.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Application 
    1. The resident referral program is open to current Aveo residents.
    2. Referee means the person who has been introduced to Aveo by a Referrer. The Referee should be a friend or family member. You should get their permission to provide their personal information (including their name and contact details) before providing them to us.
    3. Referrer means the eligible resident who submitted the Referee to Aveo as a potential new resident. 

 

  1. How to refer a Referee 
    1. Contact us directly 

      Talk to our Aveo sales teams and tell them about your friend or family member who may be looking at becoming a resident at one of our communities. You should confirm with the Referee that they are happy for you to provide their name/s and contact details before doing so. 

    2. Ask the Referee to tell us you referred them 

      Encourage your friend or family member to tell our sales team you referred them. If they don’t tell our sales team when they first contact them, we will not know they were referred and you will not be eligible for the program. 

       

  2. Eligibility 
    1. The Referee must be eligible to become a resident in one of our communities. They do not need to be looking to reside in the same community as you – they just need to be looking to reside in an Aveo village and be eligible to reside in that village. 
    2. Referrals will be considered for the purposes of the program, if the Referees: 
      1. are referred to Aveo between 10 January 2024 and 20 December 2024 (inclusive); and 
      2. settle the purchase of their new unit before 28 February 2025. 
    3. Referrals will not be considered for the purposes of the program, if: 
      1. the referral is received by Aveo after 20 December 2024; 
      2. does not result in settlement before 28 February 2025; and/or 
      3. the Referee:
        1. is already in our database as a potential resident (for example, they may have sought to become a resident previously, or are currently in the process of becoming a resident); 
        2. responds to any form of advertising by Aveo; or 
        3. does not inform our sales team that they have been referred by the Referrer. 

 

  1. Rewards 
    1. Reward for the Referrer 
      1. The Referrer may receive a reward if they refer a Referee who subsequently comes to reside in one of Aveo’s communities. 
      2. If the Referrer is a couple or group of residents they will only be eligible to receive one reward between them. If the Referee is a couple or group who come to live in the same Unit, the Referrer will only be eligible to receive one reward. 
      3. The reward is AU$1,000, which is applied as a credit towards the Referrer’s general services charges (or equivalent). 
      4. The reward is payable within 60 days from settlement of the Referee/s residence. 
    2. Reward for the Referee 
      1. A Referee who, following a referral, subsequently comes to reside in one of Aveo’s communities may receive a reward. 
      2. If a Referee is a couple or group who come to live in the same Unit, they will only be eligible to receive one reward between them. 
      3. The reward is AU$1,000, which is applied as a credit towards the Referee’s general services charges (or equivalent). 
      4. The reward is payable within 60 days from settlement of the Referee/s residence. 
    3. Reward for the community 
      1. For each Referee who is successfully referred and enter into an agreement to reside in one of Aveo’s communities, that community may receive a reward. For clarity, if a Referee is a couple or group of people who come to live in the same unit, they will be one Referee for the purpose of this section. 
      2. If the Referee enters into an agreement to reside in a different Aveo community to the Referrer, then the reward for the community will be payable to the Referrer’s community. 
      3. The reward is $1,000, which is to be spent on community engagement initiatives at the community such as social events. The reward is allocated by Aveo to the community within 60 days from settlement of the Referee/s residence. The reward will be held by Aveo in a nominated fund until it is used or expires in accordance with this clause 4.c.
      4. The residents of the community may elect to accumulate rewards. However, accumulated rewards will still expire in accordance with clause 4.c.6. below.
      5. Management at the community will consult with the residents, via the residents committee or otherwise as appropriate, regarding how the reward should be used. For example, the residents may agree that the reward should be used to host a particular social event. However, how the reward is used is ultimately a decision for management to make at its discretion. 
      6. A community manager must lodge a request with Aveo to distribute the reward/s to the community by providing Aveo with an invoice for the purchase of an item/s or summary of budgeted costs for a village social event, and Aveo will arrange payment. For avoidance of doubt, Aveo will only pay up to the amount of the reward/s held for that community at the time of the request. 
      7. Any reward/s received during a calendar year must be spent by 31 March the following calendar year (Expiry Date). If a reward is not spent by its Expiry Date, the community with forfeit the reward.
