Leading retirement community provider Aveo has recently marked the topping out of its second 10-storey building and secured council approval for the next stages of development in the group’s master-planned Bella Vista Haven retirement living community in Greater Sydney’s Hills Shire.
The multi-stage community is situated on a 59,440 sqm site within the $3 billion Norwest smart city project, providing residents with convenient access to Norwest Private Hospital and a range of medical facilities, metro rail, major retail and leisure activities.
Experienced senior living construction group, Growthbuilt, is on schedule to deliver the Jackson Teece and Nettleton Tribe designed residential building, named ‘Corymbia’, which will deliver 83 stylish one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, and a limited collection of two- and three-bedroom penthouses, complimented with a 20-seat cinema and resident library on the ground floor.
Aveo’s Head of Development, Geoff Robinson, said the group is also bringing forward the construction of a multi-lane indoor pool complex as part of this second stage of development, also being delivered by Growthbuilt with The Hills Shire Council providing approval received just this week.
“This latest stage of development at Bella Vista Haven is part of a broader development and capital works program that will see new stages, expansions, and refurbishments delivered across Aveo’s New South Wales, Queensland and Victorian communities over the coming years,” Mr Robinson said.
“The next decade will see increasing demand for master-planned, future-focused communities, and Aveo is well prepared to meet the high expectations of the Baby Boomer generation.”
“Bella Vista Haven represents a long-term masterplan vision that aims to deliver 9 buildings providing 437 apartments with extensive lifestyle amenities, and a co-located, privately managed 135-bed aged care facility.”
Aveo opened the first stage of Bella Vista Haven in 2018, delivering ‘Waratah’ a striking lakefront community of 64 apartments alongside five-star facilities including a waterfront restaurant and bar, function room, gymnasium, outdoor gym, and yoga lawn, indoor bowls, billiards, and salon.
The award-winning community is currently sold out and Mr. Robinson said the sales launch of its second stage, ‘Corymbia’, would commence in early 2025.
“With the basement, car parking, and podium level already completed, we are aiming to deliver the entire building in less than 18 months, with construction on track for completion in August 2025,” he said.
The topping-out milestone was celebrated with the ceremonial crane lift of a Water Gum tree to the building’s rooftop, which will later be planted on-site as part of extensive landscaped areas. Celebrations continued with Growthbuilt hosting the Bella Vista Haven residents for a traditional site BBQ.
