Aveo Camden Downs Garden Opening

Camden Downs retirement village recently hosted an official opening ceremony for their new sustainable community garden.

Camden Mayor, Cr Peter Sidgreaves, along with Aveo Camden Downs staff, cut the official ribbon on the beautiful sunny day.

Residents and the local public submitted their name suggestions for the new garden with the winning name unveiled on the day as Finch’s Kitchen, named after the Garden Manager, Shane Finch.

The garden, recently winning runner-up award in the Camden Council’s Most Sustainable Garden competition, was built by the combined efforts of Garden Manager, Shane, and residents at Aveo Camden Downs.

Mayor Sidgreaves congratulated staff and residents on their hard work. Everyone had a great day and look forward to enjoying the garden for years to come.
