Domaine Retirement Living community in Melbourne’s northeast has won a major award in the prestigious Property Council of Australia’s 2024 National Retirement Living Awards Gala Dinner, held on the Gold Coast.
The extensive renovation of the community centre at the premium retirement village in Doncaster was awarded ‘Best Revitalisation’ in the category sponsored by Switch Star.
Aveo's Head of Portfolio, Anthony Ibrahim congratulated the Aveo Portfolio team and the Domaine community team on the win.
“The remarkable revitalisation at Domaine included the transformation of a 22-year-old community centre into a contemporary recreational and wellness space where 175 residents connect and thrive,’’ Mr Ibrahim said.
“The refurbishment project delivers a beautiful new restaurant, café, bar, theatre, library and outdoor entertainment spaces for residents to enjoy. Additionally, the community centre lobby features the revitalised arched staircase as a grand entry showpiece.
“During its planning process, the Aveo project team consulted closely with residents on its design, colour options and furnishing selections. I am proud of the team’s collaborative efforts and the new community spaces have been fully embraced by residents at Domaine.’’
Mr Ibrahim said Aveo is passionate about creating village environments to meet the expectations of modern retirees who want to live independently in age-appropriate homes with contemporary, high-quality lifestyle community facilities available to them as an extension of their home.
