The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Clinical and Care Governance, you will be expected to support effective and compliant care governance processes across the Group, and is responsible for identifying, actioning/advising, monitoring and reporting on key clinical quality and safety outcomes. You will assist the General Manager Clinical and Care Governance ultimately deliver a fit for purpose, compliance governance framework that enables care operations to deliver safe and high quality care.What we offer

You will
- Develop care policy and procedures based on best practice and regulatory requirements.
- Advise on remedial actions where non-compliance with care policy and/or standards is identified.
- Identify care policy improvement opportunities and monitor changes in legislation that necessitate changes to Aveo's clinical care governance framework.
- Develop, measure and report on clinical indicators, including trends analysis and recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct incident and complaint investigations and monitoring including root cause analyses.
- Contribute in preperation of reporting to Aveo's Care Governance Board sub-committee and Care Governance Management Committee.
- Work collaboratively with the National Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead to establish and promote an effective infection prevention and control program across communities.
- Act as a trusted business partner with key internal stakeholders including the Care Operations teams.
- Tertiary qualification in nursing (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing) and AHPRA registration
- 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in the aged care industry and retirement living operations
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance as applied to aged care including ACQS
- Experience in care/clinical complaint and incident investigation.
- Experience in care/clinical policy and process design and implementation
- Understand home care operations
- Capacity to work within a fast-paced and complex environment
- Customer first attitude, with a pragmatic and solutions focused mindset
- Affable character, with the ability to communicate succinctly and articulately
- Resilient, credible and self-disciplined
- Ability to build rapport and foster extensive networks within an organisation and the wider industry
