The Opportunity
Cleveland Heights Retirement Living is a wonderful retirement living community with 130+ independent living units & apartments, located in a quiet residential street in Cleveland. Joining the team as our Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, upkeep and repair tasks around our retirement village. Working closely with the Community Manager and fellow team members, you will ensure our buildings, fixtures and overall village are well-maintained and presentable. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, connecting with others and loves working in a small team.
This is a permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday 8-4pm

You will
- Attend to various maintenance requests around the village (basic domestic repair tasks)
- Carry out preventative maintenance tasks (e.g high-pressure cleaning, smoke alarm checks and bins etc.)
- Oversee maintenance work undertaken by Contractors within the community
- Use our system app to log, track and record the progress of jobs completed
- Assist around the village by setting up for functions and driving our minibus
- Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team!
What you will bring
- Skilled in domestic repair tasks (e.g using tools, painting etc.)
- A genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors and hands-on who will enjoy chatting with residents!
- Valid driver's licence (required)
- Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
- Two COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required)
