The Opportunity
Forest Grove Retirement Living is a well-established community, nestled amongst 34 hectares of greenery and is home to 620+ independent living units & villas. Forest Grove has a range of sought-after amenities including walking paths, duck pond, tennis court, swimming pools and bowling green.
Joining our team as a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, upkeep and groundskeeping tasks around our village. Working alongside your fellow maintenance team members, you will ensure the grounds, pools & spaces are well-maintained, safe and presentable. You'll spend your day attending to various tasks, interacting with residents, and you'll love the mixture of working autonomously and alongside others. If you have domestic handyperson skills, come and bring your skills to life at Forest Grove!
This is a part-time position working Monday, Wednesday & Friday 8-4pm

You will
- Maintain the cleaning schedules and upkeep of our three swimming pools (e.g daily pool cleans and chemical checks etc)
- Ensure common areas are clean and presentable by completing regular cleaning (water blasting etc.)
- Maintain our fleet of village buggies to ensure they are clean, serviced and operational
- Carry out general preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules
- Be comfortable with driving our village bus on an ad-hoc basis (desirable, not essential!)
- Be a friendly face to the residents and work alongside a fantastic team!
- Please note - this is not a gardening role. (CHANGE/REMOVE)
What you will bring
- Skilled or experienced in general domestic repair tasks or in groundskeeper-style tasks (e.g you are comfortable with using power tools)
- Valid driver's licence (required as you'll be driving our buggies around our village !)
- Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not have one, we can complete for you)
- Minimum two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
