The Opportunity

Located in Burwood, Aveo Fountain Court Retirement Living is a wonderful community enveloped by native gardens, where a vibrant community thrives amidst tranquil surroundings. The ideal candidate needs to be friendly, approachable to residents, have the ability to work autonomously and be the "Jack of all Trades" when it comes to gardening and repair!
You will be responsible for the day-to-day in upkeep of our gardens and building fixtures and ensure are well maintained, presentable and safe for all to enjoy. You will be working closely with Community Manager and the residents.

This is a permanent part-time position, working every Monday and Friday from 07.00-16.00.

You will

  • Attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal
  • Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors
  • Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules 
  • Complete additional adhoc tasks delegated to you by Community Leaders
  • Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well-maintained areas.

What you'll bring

  • A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day 
  • Experience in Gardening duties (highly desired)
  • Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not possess, we can complete for you)
  • Valid driver's licence (required)
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up-to-date (required)
