The Opportunity

Aveo Springfield is a vibrant high-rise community, consisting of three apartment buildings, that sets a new standard in retirement living. As our community grows, we are looking for a casual Personal Care Attendant to join our team to assist with leave coverage! As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality daily care services for residents, with a focus on promoting their independence and well-being. You will enjoy fostering strong relationships with residents, their families and your colleagues to help ensure care outcomes are consistently exceeded. Our Personal Care Attendants assist our administration team with reception coverage, so you will enjoy a wide range of resident-facing tasks!

This is a casual position to assist our team with leave coverage. Afternoon/evening shifts will require sleeping over in the community with accommodation provided and being on-call.

You will

  • Provide safe and effective daily personal care, tailored to the resident's care needs in line with their current care plans
  • Ensure all residents receive kind, caring and respectful personal care that supports their choice and independence
  • Provide assistance to the residents and community with tasks including (but not limited to): medical & personal support, domestic cleaning and general admin duties 
  • Supporting residents with recreational and social activities
  • Assist with administration and reception duties if required
  • Follow all Aveo OH&S policies and procedures and report any safety, security and resident incidents 
  • Be passionate, trustworthy, reliable and enjoy connecting with residents, colleagues and the wider community

What you will bring

  • Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, Disability or Health Services Assistance (required)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate (required)
  • Current Police Check clearance (required, however we can complete for you)
  • Current COVID-19 Vaccinations up to date (required)
